The Misiones team became the third team to be promoted to Primera División this afternoon.
Crucero del Norte has been promoted to Primera División this afternoon by winning by three-nil against Patronato de Paraná. The game was played in the Crucero del Norte stadium in Misiones, and ended up with three goals, one by Gabriel Tomasini in the first half as well as another two goals by Gabriel Avalos, at the 49th and 59th minute. There were no incidences besides Walter Andrade (Patronato) being sent off at the 85th minute. This way, with 30 points in, 10 games won, Crucero del Norte becomes the third team to go from the Nacional B to Primera División so far.
This represents the first title won for Lanus-born former Selección Nacional defender Gabriel Schurrer with Crucero del Norte.
Amongst the names in the Crucero del Norte roster a few known players can be accounted for, such as Julio Gaona, Enzo Bruno, Diego Cálgaro or Ariel Colzera, the former Boca Juniors striker.
Crucero del Norte is known across Argentina for its astronomical ascent in Argentinian football following its ascent from Argentino A to Nacional B whilst only having been born in 2003, and also for having the biggest sized pitch in the country (even bigger than San Lorenzo’s) and for having been born and named after a bus company based in Misiones.
