Daniel Garnero quickly became the new Independiente Rivadavia after the departure of Ricardo Rodríguez.
After a dry run of more than five games with no wins, and with the promotion positions looming away from the aspirations of the Mendoza team, long standing manager Ricardo Rodriguez offered his resignation, then accepted by the Leproso board to de-compress the situation and offer an alternative.
Thus, the Independiente board moved quickly towards signing a new manager for the remainder of the season and scored Daniel Garnero, famed former Independiente de Avellaneda (Primera División) player, and former San Martín de San Juan manager whilst on Primera División and then after relegation to the Nacional B tournament. He also directed Banfield on 2013.
Garnero comes with famed former Banfield midfielder Andrés San Martín as his assistant manager, and has only nine games left before the end of the tournament.
