Rodrigo Barucco joins Atlanta

The former Instituto goalkeeper joins the Villa Crespo team lead by Arnaldo Sialle.

It had been a long back-and-fro between the Instituto de Cordoba goalkeeper and his board, until finally, a month later, the player has been released and will now join Sialle’s Atlanta as leading goalkeeper for the 2015 season.

The goalkeeper, now 30 years old, will play for his fifth team since his debut in 2006, as he has played for Tiro Federal (Argentino A), Defensores de Villa Ramallo (Argentino A), Sportivo Belgrano (Nacional B), and Instituto de Córdoba (Nacional B). He was part of the Sportivo Belgrano team that was promoted to the Nacional B back in 2013.

Rodrigo Barucco is one of the last bids for Atlanta in the back half after the signings of Leandro Benitez, Leonardo Talamonti, Lucas Mancinelli as well as the impending signing of Estudiantes’s Leandro Martinez Montagnoli, still to be signed on.
