The former Ferro manager takes over the position at Central Cordoba.
Long standing Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero manager Victor Riggio has handed in his resignation to president Bernardo Abbruzzese after a string of bad results that has landed el ferroviario to win only three points in its last 24 points played through the last games, and with only six goals in eight games, landing also in a low goalscoring streak. Quick to decide, the Central Cordoba has turned to Luis “Gardelito” Medero, the former Ferro Carril Oeste manager and Boca Juniors icon to become the new ferroviario manager.
Medero will be asuming his managerial duties without “Cabezón” Marini, and with Adrián Gorostidi as his assistant manager, and Pablo Virgilio as his fitness coach.
Medero’s last assignment as manager had been on 2014, as Ferro manager along with Claudio Marini, from where both resigned due to a string of bad results, and because of that José “Pepe” Romero was hired afterwards.
