Scifo, the Nueva Chicago player, is set to leave on a free transfer to Quilmes.
Adrián Scifo, right back to the Mataderos team which achieved promotion to the Nacional B and the Primera B Championship for 2014, will not be renewing his contract with the Mataderos team and is stepping up to play for Quilmes Athletic Club from this Tournament. The defender was one of the high points for the team, constantly hugging the line at the right side and sending crosses that were worth many goals for the Mataderos Club.
Scifo had been in the club since 2007, now playing for his second team in his career. He has signed a contract for 18 months with El Cervecero. The player stated that “this is a very important step for me” and that “Chicago is my house, but I must think with my head and not my heart”.
This week he’ll be at the disposal of newly appointed manager Pablo Quattrochi, as the first signing for the Primera Division team for its transitional tournament.
