The former Barcelona youth team manager was hired by the Talleres de Cordoba board.
Hoyos, 51 years old, and once a player for Boca Juniors (1986-1989), was hired by the Matador’s board to replace Jorge “Vitrola” Ghiso as manager of the now-Argentino-A placed Talleres first team.
The manager has coached players like Lionel Messi (as marked on the photo) and directed first teams in Greece as well, such as Aris Salonica, Atromitos, Pas Giannina and Panserraikos, all of them in Greece’s first division. He has also directed Cyprus’s Anorthosis, Colombia’s Once Caldas and Bolivia’s outfit Bolivar.
Hoyos has played as well for teams such as Talleres de Cordoba, Banfield (Argentina), Castilla (Real Madrid’s feeder team in Spain), Gimnasia and Blooming (Bolivia), Chacarita (Argentina), Minervén (Venezuela), Deportes Tolima (Colombia), Envigado (Colombia) as well as Everton (Chile).
