The Villa Crespo team went into training today before their pre-season which will last from June 30th up until July 4th. The pre-season will be held at Maccabi country club, in San Miguel, a frequent place for the Atlanta team as it was their ground for pre-season on the last season.
There are many doubts regarding the players which will stay on the team, as some of them have been given freedom to leave (such as Nania, Collavini, Lazzarini, Echarri, Castro, Flores and Quiros), whilst the future of some of the players remains to be seen as some of them have received offers from clubs (such as Maraschi, Pelaez and Godoy, who manifested they will only leave if they should receive an offer from a team in another category).
The team trained today in the presence of the four new players: Bonfigli, Santillo (in the photo), Torres and Puch. Atlanta’s board are still on the lookout for another striker, and an enganche for the time being.
The only confirmed player to be leaving the club will be former goalkeeper Matías Vega, who has an offer from Nacional B’s Aldosivi though it hasn’t be signed on yet. Vega also turned up for training in Atlanta today, even if he withdrew his personal items from Villa Crespo’s locker room.
