Latest gossip has linked Christian “Kily” González to the northern team.
40 year old retired international player Christian Kily González has been reportedly approached by Crucero del Norte chairman Julio Koropeski to play the 2014-2015 Transitional Nacional B Tournament for Crucero del Norte.
Kily had been retired from professional football since 2011, when he played his last game for his favourite team Rosario Central.
Gonzalez has played for Boca Juniors (Argentina), Valencia (Spain), Real Zaragoza (Spain), Inter (Milan), San Lorenzo de Almagro (Argentina) and Rosario Central (Argentina). He has seven title on his back: two of them- Liga and Supercopa de España (Valencia), four of them with Inter Milan (2 Copas Italia, one Supercopa and one Scudetto) y and one with the Argentine national team (Olympic gold on Athens 2004, under Marcelo Bielsa).
Such oddities are not notable coming from the only Argentine team funded by a bus company (Crucero del Norte) on 1989, who just last year reached Nacional B and has amassed impressive performances in the category. Crucero’s stadium as well has the biggest pitch size in Argentine football, exceeding San Lorenzo’s pitch, as it’s 110 mts wide and 75mts long (San Lorenzos’s is 110mts wide x 70mts long)
González is reportedly ready to sign for the team, though his signature has been delayed because he had to travel to Europe to take care of some personal business before joining the roster managed by Gabriel Schurrer.
