Christian “El Lobo” (“the wolf”) Ledesma has signed for Borghi’s Argentinos as well.
The midfielder, 35 years old, has signed for Argentinos Juniors after ending his contract with River Plate after the departure of manager Ramón Díaz. He has signed for Argentinos with the ambition of playing for the remainder of his career up to his retirement from professional football in the club from whose youth teams he originally emerged: he was part of the group of players born in 1978 who played for the youth teams of the Paternal Team along with Juan Román Riquelme.
He has played for teams like River Plate, Hamburg (Germany), Monterrey (Mexico), Colón (Argentina), Racing Club (Argentina), San Lorenzo de Almagro (Argentina), Olympiakos (Greece) and Argentinos Juniors. In some clubs for more than two spells, like in River, Colon, San Lorenzo de Almagro and Argentinos Juniors. He has played for 90 games for el bichito de la Paternal, scoring four goals. He has also played two international caps for Argentina back in 2008 under Alfio Basile.
Ledesma has been the pet peeve for some managers such as Ramón Díaz, who has taken a shine to him as his favourite midfielder, especially playing as central midfielder because of his passing capacity in the center area of the pitch, as well as his capacity to press and take the ball, and even steal opposite passes in midfield. He joined Ramón both in San Lorenzo and in River, and left River for the last time the day after Ramón Díaz resigned.
