The former Independiente midfielder was signed by Instituto de Cordoba in its bid for one of the ten promotions to Primera Division.
Gastón Machín has played for Primera División teams like Argentinos and Independiente (Avellaneda), as well as Newell’s and Huracán, and finally playing last season for Patronato. He was known and liked by the Independiente fanbase, where he played two spells throughout his career.
Regarding the transfer market, Instituto has already signed Adrián Peralta, Marcos Aguirre, Juan Carlos Maldonado, Nicolás Mazzola, José Luis García, and renewed with Javier Velázquez, Rodrigo Barucco, Julio Moreyra, Lucas Rimoldi and Raúl Damiani. Its only sale was goalkeeper Julio Cesar Chiarini, who was transfered to River Plate in a million and a half pesos.
