(Now) Vélez Sarsfield defender Juan Sabia has signed to return to his original team Argentinos Juniors.
The 32 year old defender returns to Argentinos Juniors, where he played from 2007 through 2012. He has also played for Ben Hur (Rafaela, Argentina), Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy (Nacional B, Argentina), and Velez Sarsfield (Primera División, Argentina). Through his career, he has won three titles: a Primera División title with Argentinos Juniors (where he played alongside partner Matías Caruzzo through the whole tournament) and two titles (League title and Supercopa Argentina title in 2012- 2013 with Velez Sarsfield).
The signing spree hasn’t ended for heavily reinforced La Paternal team Argentinos Juniors. Add to your mix the incorporations of Matías Caruzzo, Cristian Ledesma and especially Juan Román Riquelme and you’ll probably get the dream team for the Nacional B. Truth is, that in Velez Sabia had been unable to find his place on the first team and will be glad to return to an assured spot on Borghi’s first team.
