The now former Colegiales manager left in common agreement with the Cole board.
Threatened with relegation (if the new tournament structure forces it), and with one of the lowest budgets in the division, the Munro team agreed yesterday with the known goalkeeper the terms of separation for Islas to leave the club.
After a heady season, in which Colegiales managed to win only four out of twenty games, drawing six and losing ten, ending up with 18 points. Colegiales is in need of restructuring if the team is to survive in the Primera B Metropolitana.
As the end of this edition Colegiales has yet to play against Almirante Brown for the Copa Argentina 1st Round qualification. In the meantime, Fernando de Souza, Islas’s former Assistant Manager, will take over the helm until a new candidate for manager is chosen.
