Point average threatened Marcelo Straccia finally gave in to the pressures of the Charro board.
Marcelo Straccia, manager to Deportivo Merlo since last year- after Pasini’s resignation, has finally resigned to the Deportivo Merlo bench after this last weekend’s defeat against Tristán Suárez. Straccia had had a good run in Merlo since last year, achieving a third position at the end of the previous tournament. Nevertheless, results so far this tournament had been scarce, with three victories, three draws and ten defeats so far, and leading the chart of goals against with 31 goals conceded.
Straccia’s son, Ezequiel, will continue in the roster as player at least until the end of the tournament.
Merlo will now look forward to a caretaker manager to the end of the current tournament, with only three games left in the season.
