The former Atlanta player has left Villa Crespo to become Talleres’s first reinforcement.
Marcos Godoy, 29 years old, has emerged out of the youth teams of Quilmes, and has played for teams such as Platense, Atlanta, Guaraní Franco, Alumni (Villa María) and Colombia’s Deportivo Pereira.
This comes as a shock to the Villa Crespo team- despite the fact that Godoy was not cherished by his teammates (he even had some confrontations in the second to last game of the season against Comunicaciones), was a valued piece of the strikeforce, having himself bagged the last goal of the season: a minute ninety shocker to tie against Platense in the promotion playoffs. Now, despite the fact that Mayor, Atlanta’s manager, was already on the lookout for a striker with the capability to move between flanks and assist- he will now have to cover two striker positions to rotate with Bonfigli and Maraschi, especially if Lazzarini leaves.
Godoy is the first reinforcement in Vitrola Ghiso’s team’s bid to return to the Nacional B as soon as possible.
