Matías Caruzzo, the iconic central defender for Argentinos Juniors, has returned to the La Paternal team.
Caruzzo is the first effort by Claudio Borghi to spearhead Argentinos Juniors back to first division on the Transitional Tournament after their relegation to the Nacional B on the 2013-2014 Primera Division season. Argentinos was, along with All Boys, one of the two Capital Federal teams to be relegated, and has lost some of its most important players, especially Leonardo Pisculichi, who has signed today for River Plate.
Caruzzo was captain for the Argentinos Juniors who won the Primera Division championship title on Torneo Clausura 2010. He has played throughout his whole career for Argentinos Juniors (2006- 2010), Boca Juniors (2010-2013) and Universidad de Chile (2013- 2014) before coming back to Argentinos Juniors to play the Nacional B transitional championship. He has also won two titles with Boca Juniors in 2011 and 2012.
