Arnaldo “Cacho” Sialle resigns as Atlanta manager

After a heady stride of three losses, the Atlanta manager hands his resignation over to the Atlanta board.

It had been a heavy week for Atlanta, after losses of one-nil against Almirante Brown for the Primera B metropolitana, a defeat on penalties (6-5) against Racing Club for the Copa Argentina, and a 2-1 defeat against Estudiantes (BA) that sealed Sialle’s fate in command of Atlanta.

It’s noteworthy to mark that even though Atlanta is not far away from the top positions, the current fourth position the team holds leaves Atlanta far away from direct promotion chances, and the board have accepted Sialle’s resignation offers in hopes of turning the ship around in the last few available rounds until the end of the tournament.
