The former Atlanta man has signed for struggling Platense at the chance of gaining a place in the starting eleven.
Relegated in the Arnaldo Sialle scheme for the second half of the year, and with only a few games on his back this season, defender Christian Pelaez has opted to sign for Platense at Fabián Anselmo’s request, in hopes of re grouping and organizing the Calamar defense to at least try to gain a foothold and achieve a respectable position at the end of the tournament.
Peláez, now 26 years old, has played for Social Español before joining Atlanta in the year 2012 under the command of by-then manager Sergio Rondina. Pelaez had been from then gaining a stronger place in the team but has now been relegated by the number of defenders Sialle has for both positions (central defender -with Talamonti, Diaz Villan and Martinez Montagnoli in better shape- and left-wing back- with Torres and Benitez ahead in Sialle’s consideration)
Peláez has signed for manager Anselmo for which he hasn’t played before, but whom he has played against while Anselmo was in Estudiantes de Buenos Aires.
