Fabián Anselmo leaves Estudiantes (BA)

The Estudiantes de Buenos Aires handed in his resignation on sunday, after losing to Flandria, and today it was accepted.

Fabián Anselmo had taken Estudiantes de Buenos Aires to new depths again since taking charge of the Caseros team in 2013, by becoming the longest period serving manager in the Primera B (two years, in a category that usually doesn’t boast this kind of record due to the urgencies at hand), while having gotten to the Semi Finals in the Copa Argentina last year (whilst he has left Estudiantes without having lost one game on the ninety minute gameplay, only on penalties) and also to the promotion to Nacional B tournament semis last season as well.

But Estudiantes’s campaign has been mild so far, with only two victories, five draws, and four defeats so far this season, ending up in a one-nil defeat against Flandria this saturday, thus ending Anselmo’s period in charge of el Pincha.

There has not been any indication of who will be the next manager of Estudiantes de Buenos Aires so far.
