The veteran goalkeeper returns to his hometown for (possibly?) his last year as a player.
Gastón “el gato” (the cat) Sessa, former River Plate, Gimnasia La Plata and formerly Boca Unidos (Nacional B) has cut his contract short to return to his beloved Villa San Carlos team, a place where he can feel comfortable as his family lives in La Plata, and where he won’t have to cross the confines of Buenos Aires or Rosario (as far as the Primera B tournament -where Villa San Carlos plays- will take him to play in).
Since his return to Boca Unidos, where he had played previously, Sessa had stood in the posts in 31 games (eighteen of them through the transition tournament, as well as thirteen in the current season), conceding 37 goals and saving three penalties.
Through his career, Sessa has played for teams such as Estudiantes de La Plata (Primera División), Huracán Corrientes (Nacional B), Rosario Central (Primera División), Racing Club (Primera División), Velez Sarsfield (Primera División), Las Palmas (Spain), Barcelona (Ecuador), Gimnasia de La Plata (Primera División), Villa San Carlos (Primera B Metropolitana) and Boca Unidos (Nacional B).
