Guanca, off to Primera División

The Chacarita Juniors striker has signed for Colón de Santa Fé.

In a move that can only be marked as surprising as he was never linked to any high profile clubs, nor took hold in the starting lineup, young striker Christian “Chino” Guanca has been called up by Colón de Santa Fé, now led by veteran manager Reinaldo “Mostaza” Merlo.

Guanca, according to Sin Mordaza, will be arriving on monday to Santa Fé city to clear out all the remaining details and sign his contract joined by his manager, Martín Sendoa.

The striker, now 21 years old, played only for Chacarita through his whole career, and was part of the U20 Argentina squad in 2012 along with names such as Paulo Dybala. Less than a month ago, he had recently signed an extension of his contract with Chacarita as well as other Chacarita players such as Cristian Bordacahar.
