The former River and Central man, now 33 years old, comes as Sialle’s second signing.
Leonardo “Oveja” Talamonti has signed today an 18 month contract to become Atlanta’s second signing of the season. The former River man has a long story of success in top division leagues, having played for teams such as Central, River, Lazio, Atalanta and after that second division’s Sportivo Belgrano in the Nacional B, where he has played only six games due to injury through 2013-2014, and whilst his fitness still seems to be a bet. He comes as the second signing of the season after Leandro Benitez‘s last week.
He has stated that he believes in short term goals and that promotion should be that first short term goal.
With a shortage of names in the Atlanta defence after the release of such names as Nelson Gonzalez, Julián Perujo, and captain and defender Emmanuel Francés, Arnaldo “Cacho” Sialle is looking to strengthen and reform the back four at his own idea: that’d be to have Benitez- Martinez Montagnoli- Talamonti and Mancinelli as the starting lineup, though Martinez Montagnoli hasn’t been released from his Estudiantes de Buenos Aires contract yet.
