The Independiente (Avellaneda) striker has signed for Chaca until the end of the season.
It had been a long wait since Cristian Bordacahar’s six month injury and a lot of names had circled around who would replace Bordacahar on his long lasting injury that will take at least six months to heal minimum. And the name chosen was that of Leonel Buter, a striker on the hinges of the Independiente (Primera División) reserves team that had also been injured during the Omar de Felippe period (2013-2014) during which he only got to play in the first team for five minutes only.
Buter is 22 years old, having been born in 1993, and has played for Independiente (Avellaneda) for its youth teams and for Douglas Haig in the 2014-2015 season, failing to secure his place in the Pergamino team in the Nacional B category. He has U18 and U20 experiences with the Argentina youth teams, having played his last tournament on 2012.
This weekend, during the Chacarita Juniors tie to Independiente Rivadavia, Buter was presented to his teammates after signing his contract with president Hector “Tore” Lopez, as shown in the picture. Chacarita has tied their last two games and hasn’t won for the last five weeks, totalling two defeats and three draws.
