Los Andes (1) – Chacarita (0): A slap in the face

Los Andes won a crucial game to keep the run going in the Nacional B after meeting each other less than a year ago in the Primera B Metropolitana.

It was an important win as Los Andes first scored at the ninth minute (Zeballos) and then stood the game with one less player from the minute thirteen as referee Merlos sent defender Walter García off to the showers after a violent foul on Zelmar García. After that, Los Andes played seventy seven minutes without one player against the Chacarita eleven and trying to keep their win.

After the sending off of García, it was a tight contest for the reminder of the first half, with Los Andes trying to keep off the Mellado- Zapata couple in the midfield from sending passes to Bordacahar or Manso, and also intending to make the man missing as less noticeable as possible by pushing Lorefice to its full performance. The first half ended with no goals.

On the second half Los Andes pushed forward, with Segovia pressing and inhabilitating Bordacahar and spells of dominance by Lorefice and Cisterna, and Noriega pivoting around for passes. Chacarita lost weight on the field, and Nardozza switched a tired Los Andes formation by bringing Olivares for a worn off Galeano and Pajón for Zeballos, bringing energy into a tired team.
