The duo joins La Lepra mendocina in a weekend taunted by the cancellation of games due to Emanuel Ortega’s death.
It was going to be a long weekend from the beginning after the cancellation of the fecha in all categories in Argentine football as well as the Copa Libertadores fiasco game between Boca Juniors and River Plate. And Independiente Rivadavia (Mendoza), in the Nacional B decided to make the most out of it.
Due to the injuries suffered by midfielder Diego Cardozo and striker Matías Minici, both with injured (fractured) cruciate ligaments, keeping both of them out of the pitch for at least six months. And Independiente decided to replace them both at the orders of manager Pablo Quinteros, at once.
Diego Nadaya plays as striker and had been playing for Mumbai City FC in India, he’s 25 years old, having played for Instituto de Cordoba (from whose youth teams he emerged), Platense (Primera B Metropolitana), Universidad de San Martín (Perú), Olmedo (Ecuador), Olympiakos Volou (Greece), Almirante Brown (Primera B Metropolitana) and Mumbai City.
Matías Guardia is 27 years old and has played mostly for clubs from Mendoza, such as SC Gutierrez (Federal B), Huracán Las Heras (Federal B), Estudiantes (Rio Cuarto, Federal A), and Independiente Rivadavia, where he played in 2011.
