After Ariel Zárate’s resignation, Salvador Pasini takes over at a relegation- threatened Merlo.
Once again, el Salvador- the savior, as his first name says- Pasini takes over as manager of Deportivo Merlo.
Zárate’s resignation- day before yesterday, after a run of four won games, thirteen draws and eight lost games, was forced after last week’s defeat by two-nil against Almagro that left Merlo on the brink of relegation (Fourth from bottom in the general table, as well as third from bottom in the average- Promedios table) that will need some heavy lifting for the Pasini team to revert.
Pasini has directed before in Merlo, in the 2013-2014 season, shortly before leaving for Morón, Chacarita and finally Sportivo Italiano this year where he resigned due to conflicts with the club’s barra bravas.
Pasini’s lengthy career as a manager includes clubs such as Lugano (Primera D), Deportivo Laferrere (Primera C), Atlanta (Primera B), All Boys (Primera B), Estudiantes (BA) (Primera B), Excursionistas (Primera C), Tristán Suárez (Primera B), Defensores de Belgrano (Primera B), El Porvenir (Primera C), Temperley (Primera B), Chacarita Juniors (Nacional B), Colegiales (Primera B), Deportivo Merlo (Primera B), Deportivo Morón (Primera B), and Sportivo Italiano (Primera B).
Salvador will debut against Deportivo Español this wednesday.
