The 35 year old striker thus becomes el Camionero’s fifth signing- in only one week!
There’s one thing, it seems, on manager Salvador “Gato” Daniele and President Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia as purpose for this season: being promoted to the Nacional B tournament. With heavy spending, no incorporation limit and only two promotions at the end of the year from Primera B, the objective is clear and thus Barracas Central has become the team to incorporate the highest number of players in this transfer window so far.
This is Piriz Alves’s first foray into Metropolitano A (or Primera B Metropolitana if you will) football, having previously played for teams such as Tacuarembó (Uruguay), Talleres de Córdoba (Federal A), Argentinos Juniors (Primera División), Banfield (Primera División), Arsenal de Sarandí (Primera División), San Luis (Mexico), Tijuana (Mexico), Necaxa (Mexico), Universitario (Peru), Defensa y Justicia (Primera División), Independiente (Primera División), Atlético Tucumán (Nacional B), and Guillermo Brown (Puerto Madryn, Federal A) though not for third division football as he has played for Guillermo Brown in parallel-to-primera-B category Federal A.
