The left wing-back, now 27 years old, comes from Brown de Adrogué.
Zelmar García, former Brown de Adrogué defender, has joined Chacarita in its bid to stay in the Nacional B this season, in a set up that is still looking quiet for the Chacarita team as there have been no incorporations yet, there have been departures (Rossi) of size, and there will probably be a few more in the works (possibly Melivilo and Rosso).
The defender, who debuted in 2008, has played for four teams so far: Deportivo Merlo (Primera B), Godoy Cruz (Primera División), Quilmes (Primera División) and Brown de Adrogué, where he has played under Pablo Vicó’s lead since 2013.
García comes as Chacarita’s first bid of reinforcement after a failed signing of Ramón Lentini, the known Chacarita striker who ended up signing for Primera División’s Nueva Chicago.
