The former River Plate man has signed on a free transfer, for 18 months.
Facundo Affranchino, the 25 year old former River Plate midfielder, has agreed to become the seventh signing for a Ferro side that will look to finally achieve promotion in the short -six month long- upcoming Nacional B tournament.
Affranchino has played for teams such as River Plate (Primera División), San Martín de San Juan (Primera División), Belgrano de Córdoba (Primera División), Lobos BUAP (México) and Unión de Santa Fe (Primera División) before arriving at Ferro. He has won only one championship- the Primera División championship title with River Plate in 2008.
Affranchino has been signed as a replacement by Walter Perazzo to replace injured player Guillermo Vernetti, who is crucial to Perazzo’s scheme, yet will miss a full month of games in this tournament, which in the timetable means at least the first four games- four games Ferro can not afford to let go of in a six month long tournament.
