The former Oriente Petrolero midfielder takes a dive into the Primera B Metropolitana.
Mauro Marrone, now 29 years old comes as the latest signing in Anibal Biggeri’s population of a new roster (after the departure of over 24 players from last season) with Oriente Petrolero’s player (after signings such as Jonathan Lopez, Franco Olego, Diego Cardozo, Federico Perez Silvera, Nahuel Losada, Juan Manuel Tolosa, Claudio Verino, amongst others). Marrone will provide Biggeri with an alternative in an unpopulated midfield that has suffered the departure of players such as Palisi or Galeano, and that only holds Cequeira from its previous rosters.
Marrone has played for Almirante Brown (Primera B Metropolitana), Talleres (Remedios de Escalada, Primera B Metropolitana, from whose youth teams he has emerged), Blooming (Bolivia) and regular Copa Libertadores side Oriente Petrolero (Bolivia). He has signed an 18-month long contract and will be joining Atlanta at its pre-season in Hindú Club this weekend.
